Transform your clinical insights with a practical archetypal lens for deeper self-understanding, faster client breakthroughs, and richer therapeutic presence.
— Michael Boyle

By the end of this programme you will be able to:

  • Confidently identify core archetypal patterns in yourself and your clients.

  • Use archetypal insight to clarify entrenched client narratives and emotional blockages.

  • Expand your therapeutic toolbox with structured, embodied interventions rooted in archetypal dynamics.

What You’ll Learn (Specific Programme Outcomes)

These are practical learnings, not buzzwords:

  1. Archetypal Awareness Tools: Understand how the 10 archetypal energies manifest in self-narrative, relational patterns, and developmental blocks.

  2. Diagnostic Application: Move beyond symptoms to archetypal structure, gaining clarity on recurring client themes, resistances and potentials.

  3. Therapeutic Interventions: Apply somatic, narrative and relational practices informed by archetype dynamics to accelerate client insight and embodiment.

  4. Self-Reflection and Practice Integration: Deepen your own professional self-awareness to reduce countertransference and expand therapeutic presence.

Archetypes at Work™ is a developmental framework grounded in archetypal psychology and refined through more than two decades of applied work in leadership, organisational culture and personal development. It is based on the understanding that human behaviour is shaped by a set of universal archetypal patterns, each representing distinct ways of organising experience, relating to others, initiating change and taking action. These archetypes are not treated as fixed personality types, but as dynamic energies that move in and out of prominence depending on context, role and life stage.

Archetypes Alive builds on this foundation and adapts the methodology specifically for therapists, counsellors and psychological practitioners. Rather than applying archetypes to leadership performance or organisational roles, the work is oriented toward therapeutic presence, client narratives and relational dynamics in the room. The archetypal lens is used to deepen clinical insight, illuminate recurring patterns in clients’ stories, and support conscious change without pathologising or reducing complexity. Emphasis is placed on integration, embodiment and ethical application, ensuring that archetypal understanding enhances — rather than overrides — existing therapeutic modalities. Archetypes Alive brings the model into living clinical practice, where archetypes are not just understood conceptually, but worked with as active forces shaping meaning, behaviour and transformation.
